Welcome to my Food Blog

I will be called FoodNoob. (I still do not feel comfortable sharing my name yet).

I am a college student trying to survive and we all know the typical, “I’m so stressed” phase that college students go through and my way to relieve that stress is to eat food.

I may eat by myself a few times, so I can have the freedom to eat and enjoy or try to enjoy to the fullest without having to share with anyone else. Most of the time, it’s always better to eat with the people you love or love hanging out with: whether it be a date, hangout, or family dinner. Food somehow taste better with people.

Most of the restaurants doesn’t have to be expensive to be great, so I will be exploring more of the so called “cheap” or “fair” restaurants(maybe two $$ on yelp). None of the expensive, luxurious restaurants (I don’t have the money)(also if I have the chance).

I would normally keep posting every Saturday unless there’s a major exam, midterms, or finals, etc, that may affect my food schedule. Saturday is my only free day, so I think it’s great to keep updating every week. (or unless I decided to break my rules, and eat whenever)

I will provide description and pictures of every restaurant with the dish that I would have eaten.

So, please do enjoy reading and salivating over my blogs. I’m not here for the money, but to share my experiences and food with you all, so that you may crave over what I have. And please share my blog to your friends, family, or anyone you know that would want to eat delicious food.

Thank you and from Yours Truly,

FoodNoob 🙂

P.S.

I am currently in Massachusetts, so the restaurants will be from there. For all the Mass people.

KAJU TOFU HOUSE in Allston, MA

KAJU TOFU HOUSE:

This place is a small and rustic Korean restaurant right around the block of Harvard Ave. What we had there above is a Hot Stone Bibimbap and Sweet and Spicy Pork. It was a delicious meal. the cons are; I wished the pork was not cut up into small pieces, making it harder to eat and loses that enjoyment and it most meals on the menu were really pricey that is why we shared our bibimbap and the pork. Overall, great place to hang with a friend(s) or go on a nice date.

Bonchon in Allston, MA

Haven’t posted in a while (Happy New Year!!!)

Today we went to Bonchon in Allston, MA. I was with a group of friends because eating chicken with friends is always better. Bonchon is very well known for their spicy chicken. Here are some pics of what I got. bonchon 4

For appetizers, you can’t go wrong with Seafood Scallion Pancakes. It’s hearty, and crispy and a great starter before the main course. It will not fill you up, especially when you go as a group. There are other appetizers like Tteokbokki, but eating that would not help for what coming next, unless you are really into spicy.

This one right here is a really good one. This is the Okdal Bibimbop. It is rice and vegetables in a very hot and sizzling bowl, because if you leave it long enough, the rice from the bottom will become very crispy, which is my personal favorite. And you can top it with any type of meat, like beef, pork, or chicken and a choice to make it spicy. they give a condiment, which is red chili paste/sauce. Just pour it all on top and mix it up.

bonchon 3 Since we felt very hungry, we had more food ordered. This is Spicy Japchae, it was pretty good. not really something to order.

THE MAIN EVENT:::::

BONCHON CHICKEN!!!! This chicken is what makes them super famous. it is crispy, it is spicy, and it is delicious. We got the Extra Large Chicken Wings And Drumstick Combo. It consists of 20 wings and 10 drumsticks (HALF(spicy) AND HALF (soy garlic)). Trust me, that’s a lot. This is one awesome chicken.

My experience; only go for the chicken. The chicken is was of the best and is very worth. However if you decide to do what I did and buy other food, do mind that the plates are huge. So its considered family-styled. Awesome chicken!!!

End it all with a sweet drink of Soybean Milk.

This place is great to eat during the cold weather and when you have a lot of people to share this experience with. They have all you can eat menu, with countless meat, vegetables, and sushi. Beware, that this place can get full really quick.  WORTH!!

“BBQ CHICKEN” in Allston, MA

This place has got to be my favorite chicken place I have ever eaten! This Korean franchise is spreading to America and I will never be mad. This is my second time here and I have to say, the chicken is super crispy, as in it will never go soggy. What I got here are (in order) Dduk Bokki, Hot and Spicy Boneless Chicken, side of fries, and the Gangnam Style Wings. The Dduk Bokki is a mix of rice cakes, fish cakes, and a bunch of cabbages, and it wasn’t that spicy, plus you can add the cheese on top for an extra dollar if you feel like it. Great appetizer. Then we got the Hot and Spicy Boneless Chicken, which was to die for. It was spicy for one, what really amazes me was how super crispy it is and how hot it was to eat (and I mean temperature wise). It like they just finished frying it and they would just hand it to you. Although I recommend eating from the bone, so you can have the satisfaction of eating it and it also cooks a lot quicker with the bone. Of course, you must have a side of fries with chicken. It is such a great combination. Now, the Gangnam Style was sweet and spicy, it was good, but not for palate. It’s not as crispy as the hot and spicy boneless. You can have whatever choice you like when you are here. The price is a little cheaper than BonChon, if you ever heard of it, but worth the better chicken. This place also offers alcohol if you ever want to have fun with your friends. THIS PLACE IS BETTER TO EAT AND HANGOUT WITH FRIENDS. CHICKEN AND BEER!!!!!

First Food Post!! “Twelve Hours” in Brighton!!

Twelve Hours in Brighton, MA
Madness Lover

It was lunch hour, so we had a lunch special deal. It’s 10-12 dollars for any order without adding the proteins with free 2 side dishes and a free drink of your choice. What I had was called “Madness Lover” and the two side dishes were vegetable gyoza and seaweed salad with the popular drink “Thai Iced Tea”. The reason I chose those two side dishes is because it compliments the noodles well. While the noodles is hot and has protein, it is good to balance out the the dish with vegetable gyoza and the cold seaweed salad. Also eating the seaweed salad at the end, instead of during makes it easy for your stomach to digest. Also to end it all with a nice cold drink of Iced Thai Tea. This lunch would be a great choice to eat with anyone without having any awkward situations at all and also to have a fun time. Plus you pay up front without having to wait. Good Lunch!!
